Support
Something not working in Reversy? Most problems are solved by one of the checks below. If not, email us and we'll help.
Please include your iPhone model and iOS version, and what you tapped before the problem happened. You can also write to us from Settings › Contact us in the app, which fills in these details for you. We usually reply within 1–2 business days.
The record button doesn't record
- Allow the microphone. Open Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone on your iPhone and make sure Reversy is switched on.
- Check other apps. A phone call, FaceTime or another app that is recording can hold the microphone. End it and try again.
- Bluetooth headphones record through their own microphone. If the level meter barely moves, disconnect them and use the iPhone's microphone.
I can't hear the playback
- Turn the volume up and check that the iPhone isn't connected to a speaker or headphones you didn't expect (Control Center › AirPlay).
- Reversy plays sound even in silent mode. If it's still quiet, close and reopen the app.
- If a recording sounds very deep, high, fast or slow, open Reversy › Settings and tap Reset speed and pitch.
An audio file won't import
- Reversy imports common audio formats such as MP3, M4A, WAV, AIFF and AAC. Files protected by copy protection (for example songs from Apple Music) can't be imported.
- If the file is in iCloud Drive, make sure it has finished downloading in the Files app first.
Sharing and saving videos
- To post on TikTok, Instagram Reels or Stories, tap share on a recording, pick Reversed, Original or Both, then choose the app from the share sheet, or tap Save to Photos and post it from that app.
- If Save to Photos fails, allow Reversy to add photos in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos › Reversy.
- Exporting a long clip as a video can take a few seconds; keep the app open until it's done.
Reverse Challenge tips
- Pick a short phrase of two to four seconds. Longer lines are much harder to sing backwards.
- Turn on Loop and lower the speed to 0.5× while you learn the reversed sounds.
- Copy the sounds, not the words: exaggerate the vowels and keep your timing close to the reversed audio.
Ads
- In the free version, each new recording, challenge, share or import is unlocked by one short ad. Listening and effects are always free.
- If an ad won't load, check your internet connection and try again in a moment. Ads may not always be available; Reversy Pro unlocks everything without ads.
- To change whether ads may use tracking, go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Subscriptions
- Restore Reversy Pro on a new iPhone: open Reversy › Settings › Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you subscribed with.
- Cancel: open Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone and choose Reversy. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Where are my recordings?
Recordings are stored only on your iPhone, inside Reversy. Deleting the app deletes them, so share or save the ones you want to keep first. See the privacy policy for details.
