Privacy Policy
Reversy ("Reversy: Reverse Audio & Voice") is an iPhone app that records sound and plays it backwards. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it goes and what choices you have. In short: your recordings stay on your iPhone, you don't need an account, the free version shows ads from Google AdMob, you decide whether those ads may use tracking, and we never sell your data.
Your recordings and imported audio
Reversy records, reverses and plays audio on your iPhone. Recording and reversing happen entirely on the device; your audio is never sent to us or to any of the services listed below.
- What is stored: your recordings, audio files you import, their reversed copies, the titles you give them, their waveforms and your playback settings (pitch, speed, loop).
- Where it is stored: only on your iPhone, inside the app's own storage. It may be included in your device backups (iCloud or computer), which Apple handles.
- Sharing: a recording leaves your iPhone only when you share it yourself, for example as a video to TikTok, Instagram or Messages, or when you save it to Photos. What happens to it then is governed by the app or service you share it with.
- Deleting it: delete a recording in the app, or delete Reversy to remove all of them.
Permissions
- Microphone: used only while you are recording. You can turn it off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone; you can still import audio files without it.
- Photos (add only): used only when you tap Save to Photos, so Reversy can add the video you made. Reversy can't see your existing photos.
- Files: when you import audio, iOS shows its own file picker and Reversy receives only the file you choose.
- Tracking: see Ads below.
No account
Reversy doesn't ask for your name, email address or any login. There is no Reversy account.
Ads (Google AdMob)
The free version of Reversy shows ads provided by Google AdMob: a short rewarded ad you choose to watch to unlock an action, and occasionally a full-screen ad after playback. Reversy Pro subscribers don't see ads.
- What AdMob may collect: device and app information (model, iOS version, language, app version), an approximate location derived from your IP address, ad interactions (views, taps, rewards), diagnostic data, and identifiers such as the advertising identifier (IDFA) if you allow tracking.
- Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: before ads load, Reversy shows Google's consent form so you can choose whether your data may be used for personalised ads. You can change your choice later from the app.
- App Tracking Transparency: Reversy asks once whether it may track you. If you allow it, Google can use the IDFA to show more relevant ads and measure them. If you don't, the IDFA isn't shared and you still see ads, just less personalised ones. You can change this anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Ad content: ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences.
Google acts as an independent controller for the data it processes for ads; see Google's privacy policy.
Usage statistics (Google Firebase)
To understand how Reversy is used and to improve it, Reversy uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Remote Config, provided by Google.
- What is collected: app events such as app opens, screens viewed and features used, subscription events, device model and iOS version, a random app instance ID, an anonymous app user ID generated by the app, and an approximate location (country or region) that Google derives from your IP address.
- What is never collected: your recordings or any audio, the titles you give them, your name, email address or contacts.
Google stores this data for us in a form that doesn't identify you by name. Event data is kept for up to 14 months.
Purchases (RevenueCat)
Reversy Pro is a subscription you buy through Apple. We use RevenueCat to process and verify purchases and to know whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives the anonymous app user ID, your purchase history for Reversy (products, dates, prices, currency, country/storefront) and basic device and app information needed for this. We don't receive your payment details; Apple handles payment.
Ad attribution for our own campaigns
We may advertise Reversy on the App Store. To learn which of our ads led to installs, Reversy collects the Apple Ads attribution token provided by Apple's AdServices framework and sends it to RevenueCat, which uses it to look up the campaign with Apple. This token doesn't identify you personally.
Sharing and selling
We don't sell your data. We only share the data described above with Google, RevenueCat and Apple, and only to show ads in the free version, process purchases, understand and improve the app and measure our own campaigns. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
Recordings and settings on your iPhone stay there until you delete them or the app. RevenueCat keeps purchase records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Google Analytics event data is kept for up to 14 months; Google's retention for ads data is described in its own policy.
Children
Reversy is not directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, and to object to or withdraw consent for its use. Since there is no account, most data lives only on your device. For purchase data, usage statistics or ads data, email us and we'll help with a request to RevenueCat or Google.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
